The majority of an ice berg is under the water Underneath Antarctica is a huge land mass. It is 200km deep, Very little plant life exsists in Antarctica. Antarctica is made out of ice and snow. Antarctica has an area of 14 million square kilometres. Parts of Antarctica that are not covered by the ice sheets are called dry valleys. Antarctica is the coldest and iceiest continent in the world.
In Antarctica there is not much flora because most of the plants die because of how low the tempretures fall in winter.Female emporer penguins look after the baby egg's than they need to pass the egg to the male and they go and try to find food for the new born penguin.All the male penguins have to go for at least 125 days without food and water.The mothers lose three thirds of the body weight when they were holding the egg.

There are many reasons for and against should there be tourism in Antarctica?
It is true say that when people come visit Antartica they could pollute Antarctica bytravelling on a transport. Ships can pollute or destroy by crossing over ice and the smokecoming out of the ship.Large ships can be called the 'ICE BREAKER'.Other transport like a skidoo,quad,hagglund,nodwell and the tractor is other things that it can harm Antarctica.
I strongly believe that 'FLOTSAM' is a harmful thing in Antarctica. Flotsam is a increasing problem in Antarctica ,it is when part of the fishing net,fishing line,boxes,strapping bands and lots more it harms the animals.Mostly birds and seals is getting harmed in Antarctica.
